Auditions
VPT does not have a resident or repertory company of actors and is always looking for new talent. Artistic Director Dan Taube holds non-Equity general auditions during the calendar year and also holds auditions for each individual VPT production. You can find audition notices for VPT exclusively through The League of Chicago Theatre’s Website Chicagoplays and Performink.
Though we do accept submissions through the mail, electronic submissions are preferred. In order to be considered, electronic submissions need to be formatted correctly. Your resume and your picture should be either in a Word or a PDF format and your name must appear on your picture. Requests should be sent to casting@village-players.org , with a valid email address, for the purposes of correspondence. The email will be considered as the cover letter, so please do not attach a separate letter.
Employment
Village Players Theatre of Oak Park occasionally seeks individuals for part-time or full-time employment. At this time, no positions are available.

Internships
Internship opportunities at VPT are designed to provide an enriching, career-broadening experience for qualified college, graduate students and early career professionals. The level of responsibility and the ongoing workload of an ever-growing artistic institution require that interns be highly motivated, energetic and self-reliant. A personal interview is required as part of the final selection process.
Scheduling is flexible, though most internships are full-time and 3-4 months in duration. School-year internships are typically 2-3 days per week. All stage management positions are full time.
